MCTMG
Radio is conducting a search for the top Artists
& Songwriters on our site! We will
be offering outstanding awards to both the "Artist
& Songwriter Of The Year." Please
read the Rules & Awards below:
RULES
To
participate in the Artist Of The Year project
all you need to do is have been accepted by
our programmers to be aired on our stations.
However, you MUST let us know what tune you
want us to upload to the evaluation page. If
we already have it in our library in your folder
we will put it up immediately. If we do not
have it just send it to us as shown below.
If
you are a Writer you do NOT have to be aired
on our stations but must be a member of the site.
You simply send us your tune as shown below and
we will add it to the evaluation page on the
site.
IMPORTANT
LEGAL NOTICE:
By
submitting songs to MCTMG RADIO for potential
air play or other uses you confirm that the material
is yours entirely and/or you have the legal right
to offer it for air play or whatever project
you are asking to be included in on our site..
If
your songs are used on the station(s) they
will be used for that purpose and promotional
items such as Pod Casts and live telecasting
promoting your music and the station. By submitting
your music for any purpose you agree that you
and/or others will not require additional royalties
for any promotional or telecasting of the materials.
Your
submission also authorizes us to use your image, bio,
and/or other materials necessary to promote you and whatever
project you are included in on our stations.
All
songs for Artist Of The Year must be an original "production"
but not necessarily an original "composition".
In other words, karaoke (as much as we like some of it)
is not permitted. The product must be a professionally
produced one that meets our broadcast standards. Home produced
and/or voice over's using synthesizers or midi sounding
tracks are not acceptable. Those
seeking Artist Of The Year must be approved by our programmers
for airplay on our stations.
Evaluation
Of Artists For Artist Of The Month & Artist Of
The Year:
Any
artist wishing to participate in the Artist Of The
Month with the goal of becoming Artist Of The Year
may submit up to ONE song for each month's evaluation
period that is tagged as the song you wish to have
evaluated.
All
songs will be rated on a scale of 1 - 10 by our Preleminary
Board to narrow the winners to the top five (5) artists
of each monthly evaluation period.
The
final FIVE (5) artists will be evaluated on a scale
of 1 - 10 by our Evaluation Board from Nashville, Tennessee & Around
the world.
These
professionals and laymen in the industry are
people who are themselves successful artists,
song writers, producers, agents, and others
who are extremely qualified to give us a fair
and professional decision on the final winner.
No
evaluators will know what the others are rating
the artists so when we get their ratings here
in our office the totals of all ratings will
give us a very fair decision as to who the
top rated artist for the month or year is.
Where,
And How, The Songs Will Be Heard & Evaluated:
All
music will be placed on our Evaluation Page at http://mctmg.com/evaluations.htm where
our Preliminary Evaluation Board may go to hear each
artist & writer as many times as they wish.
Our
Professional Evaluation Board will have access to to
the Top Five as determined by our Preliminary Evaluation
Board.
Artist
Of The Month:
Will
be placed in the running for the "Artist Of
The Year."
Artist
Of The Year
Will
be offered the opportunity to come to Nashville for
the purpose of recording a ten song CD.
This session is valued at approximately $20,000.00
The
artist will be given housing while in Nashville.
Artist
will be given a $50.00 per day food allowance for up
to five days while in Nashville.
MCTMG
Radio will supply the artist with 500 copies of the
new product.
This
session will be done at the Dixiana Music Studios on
Music Row in Nashville.
The product will be owned by MCTMG in order that our
marketers, A&R People, and others can work toward
serious attention for the project.
The artist will have access to the product for their
personal sales and in addition to their personal sales
MCTMG will pay the artist fifty percent (50%) of all
sales by us after expenses directly related to the product
are paid.

To
be considered for Song Writer Of The Year you do NOT
have to be aired on our stations but MUST be a member
of our MCTMG Radio Broadcasting Community.
Song
Format:
To
be fair to all writers we do NOT
ACCEPT PROFESSIONALLY PRODUCED PRODUCTS.
You
must submit any song using only ONE INSTRUMENT as your
background.
We
are not interested in a final production, we are interested
in the lyrics, timing, melody, and technical structure
of the song.
Evaluation

Song Writer Of The Year:

Note:
If a co-writer was involved in the composing of the song
you submit you will be entirely responsible for any division
of award benefits to the co-writer(s). The award offered
by us will go to the member submitting the song. Therefore,
it is your responsibility to get any and all permissions
to submit your song. In submitting any song that has
co-writers involved you state by your submission that
such permission has been granted to you and MCTMG will
not be held responsible for any failure on your part
to do so.
AWARDS
Song
Writer Of The Month:
Will
be placed in the running for the "Song Writer
Of The Year."
Song
Writer Of The Year
Will
be allowed the opportunity to either record the session
themselves or select the Indie Artist of their choice
from our membership to come to Nashville and record
a 10 song CD of their writing.
This session is valued at approximately $20,000.00
The
Song Writer will be given housing while in Nashville.
Song
Writer will be given a $50.00 per day food allowance
for up to five days while in Nashville.
MCTMG
Radio will supply the Song Writer and the Indie Artists
with 500 copies each of the new product.
The
Writer will be responsible for transportation and any
other expenses in coming to Nashville.
This
session will be done at the Dixiana Music Studios on
Music Row in Nashville.
The
tentative time to do the sessions will be in the spring
or early summer months of 2009. This is due to the
months it will take to lay out the sessions insofar
as tunes to be recorded, working with the studio to
schedule a date convenient for them, working with both
the winning artist & songwriter so they can get to
Nashville at a time convenient to them, and other legistics
needed to be in place.
Also,
most touring acts are busy during the spring and summer
months and tie up the studios during the winter months.
We plan to schedule the artist & songwriter sessions
when those artists are back on the road.

The
award of recordings shown here are not offered by MCTMG
and are entirely the responsibility of the Sponsors in
exchange for one full year of advertisement on the MCTMG
Web Site. MCTMG shall not be held liable should the Sponsors,
for any reason, fail to meet their commitment. This is not
an expected eventuality but must be posted here in case
such an event should take place. Obviously, should the
Sponsors default on their agreement MCTMG will manage to
get the recordings done in a professsional manner but will
do so in a manner and method of their own choosing.
